Private Philemon Adams served with 21st Regiment, Connecticut Militia during the American Revolution.
Born at Pomfret, Windham County, Connecticut, on 14 Jun 1751 to Peter Adams and Priscilla Warren. In 1774 he married Susan Day and they were the parents of five children.
During the Revolutionary War, Philemon served in Capt. Moses Branch's Company of Col. Obadiah Johnson's 21st Connecticut Militia Foot Regiment starting on 17 Jan 1778[1].
Philemon died on 17 October 1837 at Windham County, Connecticut and is interred at South Cemetery in Brooklyn, Connecticut[2].
