Research Notes

In Dr. Richard W. Amidon's July 21, 1962 application for membership in The Vermont Society of the National Society Sons of the American Revolution', it notes:

John Amidon, born 10 October 1771 in Oxford Mass and died (unknown date) in (unknown city) Canada
married c. 1814 in (unknown city), (unknown country).
Sarah Thurber (b. 1793? in Guilford, Vermont?)

The application in turn cites,

"Amidon Family" by Frank E. Best. Published 1904.
