Biography

Henry Armistead, the son of Col. John Armistead and Judith Bowles Robinson, was born about 1672, Hesse, Gloucester County, Virginia. He died in Middlesex, Virginia. Henry married Martha Burwell the daughter of Hon. Maj. Lewis Burwell and Abigail Smith. Martha died before Henry, as he is mentioned as a widower in the December 1748 paperwork of his estate.
