Addison Wear Armstrong built a large brick home, Woodville, on the river near Knoxville. The land now belongs to the Volunteer Cement Company and plans to tear down the ante-bellum home were made in 1959. He was a surveyor and lived all his life in Knox County. [1]
Note from writer: the home was torn down but I have a photograph of the home and my father, Robert A. Armstrong had a painting made from the photograph which my mother currently has--July 29, 1997.
