Sarah Hollister "married 1st, Rev. Hope Atherton, son of Maj.-Gen. Humphrey Atherton. He was baptized in 1646; was the first minister of the church in Hatfield, Mass., and was chaplain of Capt. Lathrop's company which was cut to pieces by the Indians at Bloody Brook (Deerfield). He died June 8, 1677." (Case)
