William Bache was born 31 May 1773[1] in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.[2] He was the son of Richard Bache and Sarah Franklin (daughter of Benjamin Franklin). [3]
He married Catherine Wistar on 28 Nov 1797 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania[4][5] and the couple had the following known children:
William probably died 05 Aug 1814,[11] however his gravestone states 05 Aug 1820[1] He is buried in Christ Church Burial Ground, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.[1] His estate was probated on 1 Sep 1814 in Philadelphia. [12]

↑ Although some believe this census record is for this William Bache, others believe it is for another person. This census record shows a daughter under the age of 10 years (which he isn't know to have had at this date). Also, it doesn't reflect the correct age of his wife (who was over the age of 45), and it shows him living in Tioga county, a place he is not known to have lived.
