Biography

Richard Baker was born on March 3, 1712, in Orleans, Massachusetts, his father,Isaac Baker (abt.1682-1747) , was 32 and his mother, Sarah (Rich) Baker (1676-bef.1747), was 36. He married Elizabeth (Wetherell) Baker (1707-) on April 10, 1736, in Eastham, Massachusetts, he was 24 years old. They had seven children in 28 years.

He was named in his father's estate settlement and distribution on 23 May 1749.[1]

He died on February 10, 1760, in Eastham, Massachusetts, at the age of 47. (or He died before 2 Oct 1760 in Eastham)

They had the following children:

  1. David Baker (1738-1818) was born about 1738 in Eastham. David married Deborah RICH.
  2. Sarah (Baker) Hamlen (1743-1830) was born on 27 Feb 1743.Sarah married Nathaniel HAMBLIN.
  3. Joseph Baker (1747-abt.1810) was born on 24 Jul 1747 in Wellfleet. Joseph married Lucia ATWOOD.
  4. Mary (Baker) Covell (1751-) was born about 1751. Mary married Solomon COVELL.
  5. Samuel Baker (1755-) was born about 1755. Samuel married (1) Hannah HOLBROOK. Samuel married (2) Anna SWEET.
  6. Moses Baker (1759-) was born in Jul 1759.Moses married Martha ATWOOD.
