Biography

This profile is part of the Bartlett Name Study.

Priscilla Bartlett, daughter of Benjamin and Ruth (Pabodie) Bartlett was born at Duxbury, Plymouth, Massachusetts Bay, in January 1696/7.[1] She is a descendant of Mayflower passengers John Alden, William and Love Brewster, William and Priscilla Mullins, and Richard Warren.[2]

She married John, son of Stephen and Elizabeth (unknown) Samson, on December 31, 1718 at Duxbury. He is the grandson of Mayflower passenger Henry Samson.

They resided at Duxbury where they all of their children.

Priscilla died there on July 7, 1758 at the age of 61. John remained a widower and passed away on January 26, 1770.

John and Priscilla (Bartlett) Samson had the following (9) children:[3][4]

  1. Lusanna, born 30 April 1720; married Peleg Wadsworth
  2. Zilpah, born 27 February 1721/2; died unmarried
  3. John, born 21 May 1724 (twin); died young.
  4. Priscilla, born 21 May 1724 (twin); married William Brewster
  5. Elizabeth, born February 1725/6; married Wrestling Alden
  6. John, born 8 August 1727; married Rebecca Brewster and Abigail Stetson
  7. Elisha, born 6 April 1730; died unmarried
  8. Sylvanus, born 13 March 1731/2; married Sylvia _____, no known children
  9. Elijah, born 7 June 1734; married Ruth Bradford

"are you sure Priscilla is a child of this couple.." The only 'proof' is my sister's PAF record showing Priscilla was 'sealed to her parents'...

That probably isn't proof.
