Biography

Ichabod Bartlett, the son of Benjamin Bartlett and Sarah Brewster, was born, probably, at Duxbury[1] and died there before January 1, 1717[2][3]. He married first, at Marshfield, December 28, 1699, Elizabeth Waterman,[4] daughter of Joseph Waterman and Sarah Stow, of Marshfield.[5][6] She was born at Marshfield on September 7, 1679[7] and died there October, 1708.[8] He married second, November 14, 1709, Desire Arnold,[9][10] daughter of Seth Arnold and Elizabeth Gray, of Lebanon, Connecticut. Desire died before December 11, 1715 (The will of Seth Arnold, dated December 11, 1715 names Sarah Bartlett and Seth Bartlett, the two children of his deceased daughter Desire).[11]

"Note: No record found of children Ichabod, Mercy and a 2nd Josiah as claimed in ANC Landmarks p. 17."[12]

Probate

On 1 January 1716/17, Edward Arnold of Duxbury and John Thomas of Marshfield are granted a letter of administration for his estate. He had died intestate.[22]

His inventory was taken on 11 January 1716/17 in Duxbury. The estate division was set out to children, Josiah, Nathaniel, Joseph, Elizabeth, Sarah, and Seth.[23]

At the top of the bio is shows he is descended from Alden; I don't see that in his family tree, though, unless a relationship is missing/incorrect
