Mary Bass was a North Carolina colonist.

Mary was born about 1714. Mary is the daughter of John Bass. Her death date is unknown but occurred after the date of her father's will January 1731/32.

It is not certain who her mother was. Some say she was the daughter of Love Harris, John's first wife; others that she was the daughter of Mary, John's second wife. In reading John's will can be inferred from the language that Mary's children were still minors, that is born after 1711. Given that Mary was named among the last of the children In John's will and that her given name is Mary, it seems reasonable to infer that she was the daughter of John's second wife.

Mary is named in the will of her father dated 18 January 1731/32 and proved at the February Court 1732 Bertie County, North Carolina.[1] She received 100 acres on the north side of Urahaw Swamp.
