Biography

Anne Beauchamp, daughter and co-heiress of Richard Beauchamp, K.B., 2nd Lord Beauchamp of Powick, and his wife Elizabeth Stafford, was born about 1472-1475 (aged 30 in 1505, or 40 in 1512).[1][2]

Anne's portion of her father's estates included the manors of Down Hatherley and Kemerton, Gloucestershire, and Acton Beauchamp, Worcestershire.[2]

Anne married probably about 1490 Richard Lygon (or Ligon, Lygen), of Madresfield and Little Mitton, Worcestershire, and Matson and Giffardes (in Broadwell), Gloucestershire, son of Thomas Lygon, Esq., of Great Malvern and Madresfield, Worcestershire, by Anne, daughter and heiress of Nicholas Giffard, of Matson and Cromhall Lygon, Gloucestershire. Richard was born about 1466-67 (aged 30 and more in 1507).[1][2] They had eight sons:

Richard Lygon died at Madresfield, Worcestershire 1 May 1512. Anne died testate on 22 July 1534.[1]
