DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Lindsay by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Lindsay:

Belding-683 and Belding-329 appear to represent the same person because: Married to the same person, birth / death dates approximately the same, some difference in locations

Sorry, they moved to Otsego County, NY.

I see two profiles: Lindsey Belding and Lindsay Belding. I have never seen an official document with the spelling Lindsay.

In 2 out of three census records he claims to be born in Connecticut, and that is where his parents lived in 1800. Then they moved to Chester, Massachusetts. His father and family moved to Otego County, NY before 1850 where he is married to his second wife, Hannah Tompkins

Be careful, there are two Charles Wesley Beldins. The older one is mine, the younger one is Sylvesters. Charles the elder and Sylvester are brothers.

Ok, that's probably what I was seeing. I'll look into it very carefully before I mess anything up.

I should probably also add sources... I have a bunch in my tree on ancestry.com but I haven't added them here.

How do I add children to Lindsey's profile? My ancestor is Charles Wesley Beldin, the youngest son of Lindsey and Jane Garrison Beldin(g)

Hi cuz! I'm also a descendant of Charles Wesley Beldin. Press "Edit" and on the right hand side of your screen there is an "Edit Family" section, underneath that there will be an option to add children.

Also, I think we have duplicate profiles for Charles Wesley Beldin. I am super busy right now but I will try and fix it whenever I get around to it.
