m. Susannah ____in 1657 at Portsmouth, Rockingham, New Hampshire - parents of Elizabeth, John, William, Hannah and Sarah Berry

He is said to have been the first settler at Sandy Beach.

"On 5 Dec. 1671 the selectmen of Portsmouth approved the payment of a detailed bill submitted by John 2 Berry had been hired to do some surveying work and among the several men employed on the job were "Nath: Drake & his son 4 days ...0-12-0" {Drake Gen. p. 30} [Getchell p. 18]
