Joseph Berry was born in 1639 in Strawberry Banke, Rockingham, New Hampshire, son of William Berry (~1610 - <1654) and Jane (Unknown) Drake (~1610 - ~1687).[1][2]
According to "Old Kittery and Her Families", by Everett S. Stackpole, Joseph Berry was a mariner of Portsmouth, New Hampshire--bought half an acre of land of Withers in Kittery, District of Maine in 1683.[3]
Joseph married Rachel Lewis (1648 - ~1717). Their children were:
Nathaniel Berry (1665 - <1718), m. Elizabeth Philbrook on 2 Jul 1691
Joseph died in Feb 1717 in Greenland, Rockingham aged ~77.
