I John Beverly of said State & County, being fully aware of the uncertainty of life and the certainty of death, and being well taken in years and the infirmities commonly attached to advanced life in febbleness of body, but still being blessed with my usual mental faculties and having still a sound mind and memory, and feeling thankful for the same to Him who gave it.

I give to my beloved granddaughter Martha Threadgill who [with?] her husband lives with me over and above the use of my lands and plantation heretofore had, one feather bed and full furniture - for and in consideration of her attendance to me in my declining years.

I give to my Son William Beverly all the tract of land on which I now reside heretofore deeded to him with the reservation of my life Estate, and I wish the title to him by this will to be confirmed at my death, and the remnant of a small tract which I [?] between the tract on which I live & the tract which I gave to my Son Jesse Beverly of which tract I gave two acres to my Son Nathan Beverly on which Lewis W. Beverly my grandson now lives. DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with John by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with John:

Two brothers, born 49 years apart, probably don't share a mother. More research is needed.
