Adam was born in 1728. He was the son of Hans Georg Biebel (1700 - 1758) and Maria Eva Burckhardt Biebel (1701 - 1760).
Hans/Johann Adam Biebel Arrived in America 30 Nov 1750 on board the ship "Sandwich" which sailed from Rotterdam Holland. The Johann or Hans Adam Biebel who arrived in Philadelphia in 1750 on board the Sandwich was not born in Konigsbach but in Goersdorf in Alsace, the son of Hans George Biebel and of Maria Eve Burckhardt.
He was married in the Lutheran Church at Preuschdorf on 19 Nov 1748 to Maria Eva Margaretha Muller (1735 - 1780), the eldest daughter of Otto Phillip Muller, the miller at the Gorschendorffer mill. The couple had one son born in Goersdorf in 1749 who died the same year. [1]. Their children were:
That this man is identical to the 1750 immigrant is proven be the fact that the signature in both the 1748 marriage record and the 1749 baptismal record matches that on the list of passengers on the Sandwich. He sailed on board the Sandwich captained by Mr Hazelwood from Rotterdam Holland along with 200 other passengers and arrived in the port of Philadelphia on 30 Nov 1750.
Military Voucher records for Rockingham County Virginia for the year 1787 listed the following people as having made contributions to the war effort. Adam Bible, one tithable, sons John and Ludwick, seven horses, Adam Bible Jr, one tithable, three horses, George Bible, three horses, Philip Bible, two horses. They settled on Little Dry River in Brooks Gap, Rockingham Co Virginia. Johann Bible died in Rockingham County Virginia in late 1794 or early 1795. Johann Bieble/Bible and family were at Fort Hinkle during the American Revolutionary War. He is established with the Daughters of the American Revolution as a Patriot.

Hans Adam Biebel (Adam Bible). Born on 4 Jan 1732 in Goersdorf, Alsace, On 19 Nov 1748, when Adam was 16, he married Maria Eva Müller, daughter of Otto Phillip Müller, in Goersdorf, Alsace. After their first child was born and died, Adam and his young wife left their home clandestinely, since emigration was prohibited at the time, and sailed to America from Rotterdam aboard the ship Sandwich, arriving in Philadelphia on November 30, 1750. After living for some time in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, they eventually settled in the Shenandoah Valley, where they lived the rest of their lives. Adam died in Rockingham County, Virginia before 23 Feb 1795, when his widow and son were appointed administrators of his estate. He was 63 when he died. He is probably buried in the old Bible Cemetery in Rockingham County, which is now on the farm belonging to Kathleen Ritchie and her son, John Henry Ritchie. There are at least 9 graves there, marked only by rocks. Maria Eva appeared on tax lists for a couple years after 23 Feb 1795.
