He died 6 Feb 1809 at Palermo, Waldo, Maine, at age 73.

This family moved to Palermo in 1794. Their property of 100 acres on plan 9 lot 43 for $100.00. A James Black 1794 and a Benjamin Black 1790 and John Black 1798 also had property in Palermo, then called Great Pond Settlement at the extremity of Sheepscot Pond. Edmund was taxed in 1801 for $2.86. James Black $7.24 and Benjamin Black, $4.01. Eleven children born to them in Chester, New Hampshire. He Records taken from an old family Bible printed in 1818 belonging to the Black's of Palermo, Maine. There is also a family record in the Bible of Sames born July 25, 1764. Moley black was born February 28, 1765 and died October 18, 1826. On the margin of leaf opposite James (birthday is written) see Records Chester. Opposite Moley birth on margin is written Newmarket. Records of the marriage and children in Meredith, Maine.

Molly Perkins was born on 15 Sep 1735 at Ipswich, Essex, Massachusetts. She died on 25 Apr 1812 at Palermo, Waldo, Maine, at age 76.
