Starr and Goodwin, say in Various ancestral lines of James Goodwin etc. that Sarah Blakeman, daughter of James Blakeman and his first wife, was born 25 Apr 1658; m. 20 Aug 1677, John Todd of New Haven.[1]
The New Haven Vital Records contain the records:
John Tod and Sarah Blackman were married the 20th of August 1677.[2]
Sarah Tod ye wife of John Tod died in Child bed the 16 day of December (& ye Infant a daughtr died som day before) 1688.[2]
Sarah Blackman/Blakeman, daughter of James Blackman, was listed in James's will dated 18 July 1689, as Sarah Cunny.
Since Sarah Blackman cannot be alive and married to Mr. Cunny in 1689, and yet have died in 1688, the Sarah Blackman who married John Todd, was not the daughter of James Blakeman,[3] as is frequently stated.[4]
This is Sarah (Blakeman) Todd, wife of John Todd, died in childbed in 1688.[2]
Sarah's parents and birth are unknown. She is often confused with Sarah (Blakeman) Coney, who was born in 1658. However, considering that she married in 1677, 1658 is a good estimate.
She married John Todd, son of Christopher, 20 Aug 1677, in New Haven.[2] It was his second marriage.
Sarah Todd, wife of John, died in childbed 16 Dec 1688. The child died before her.[2]

Sarah (Blackman/Blakeman) Todd is not the daughter of James Blakeman. See beginning of the profile.
My suggestion:
Blakeman-25 remains the wife of John Todd.
a. Disconnect Blakeman-25 from James Blakeman and [[Wheeler-1118|Miriam Wheeler.
b. Change birth to about 1658 (it's reasonable based on known marriage - No place.
c. Change death to 18 July 1689 New Haven
CREATE a new Sarah Blakeman, daughter of James b. 25 Apr 1658 d. 17 Apr 1694.
I would be happy to take care of this. Any objections?
Update 27 Feb 2017. Sarah is set now, - unknown parents, correct husband, children attached are hers.
Blackman-1802 and Blakeman-25 appear to represent the same person because: they are the same person. Second wife of John Todd, born 1658 died 1688 in child birth
Blackman-1802 and Blakeman-25 are not ready to be merged because: These profiles likely represent the same person. I picked 1655 as an approximate birthdate based on other information. The death date came from incomplete information I had. I want the marriage to John Cooney in 1677 removed before a merge. A marriage is perfectly possible some other year but I have no hint of it.
Blackman-1802 and Blakeman-25 appear to represent the same person because: The names and dates are similar and the marriage to John Todd is the same. I think the spelling should be Blakeman.
