Thomas Bolling J.P. is a descendant of Pocahontas. Here is the trail.

Honorable Thomas Bolling was a lawyer and Justice of the Peace in Chesterfield County, Virginia. He was the captain of Capt. Thomas Bolling's Company from Chesterfield County in the Revolutionary War.[1] He belonged to the Episcopal church. In 1812, he established COBBS, which was the first Deaf-Mute Education Institute in America.[2]. He was foremost of the education of the Deaf because three of his children were deaf-mute from birth.

Married to his cousin, Elizabeth Gay, daughter of Dr. William Gay, and they had six children.Three of them were deaf mutes that never married or had issue.
