Elizabeth died 1867 in Iowa and was buried at Elk Rapids, Iowa cemetery but was re-interred in Linwood Park Cemetery as preparations began for the Sailorville Reservoir north of Des Moines. In 2006 a stone was placed by her unmarked grave near her daughter Susan Amanda Saunders and relatives at Linwood Park. [3]
