Agnes of Burgundy (1407 – 1 December 1476), duchess of Bourbon (Bourbonnais) and Auvergne (Auvergne (province)), countess of Clermont, was the daughter of John the Fearless (1371–1419) and Margaret of Bavaria.[1] Her maternal grandparents were Albert I, Duke of Bavaria and Margaret of Brieg. (5)

Agnes of Burgundy (1407 – 1 December 1476), duchess of Bourbon (Bourbonnais) and Auvergne (Auvergne (province)), countess of Clermont, was the daughter of John the Fearless (1371–1419) and Margaret of Bavaria.[1] Her maternal grandparents were Albert I, Duke of Bavaria and Margaret of Brieg.

Louis of Bourbon (1438 – August 30, 1482, murdered), Bishop of Liège

Margaret of Bourbon (February 5, 1439–1483, Château du Pont-Ains), married in Moulins on April 6, 1472 Philip II, Duke of Savoy

Catharine of Bourbon (Liège, 1440 – May 21, 1469, Nijmegen), married on December 28, 1463 in Bruges Adolf II, Duke of Guelders

Joanna of Bourbon (1442–1493, Brussels), married in Brussels in 1467 John II of Chalon, Prince of Orange Jacques of Bourbon (1445–1468, Bruges), Count of Montpensier. Unmarried (5)

Agnus Duchess of Burbon was the sister of Phillip III, Duke of Burgandy. (4)


On September 17, 1425 Charles of Burbon and Agnus solemnly celebrated their marriage in the city of Atun.(3)

Agnes and her spouse Charles I De Burbon, sons Jean II and Pierre II de Beaujeu and other of their descendants are buried in the Cluniac Abby of Souvigny (in the heart of their territories. (1) (2)

Of Burgundy-121 and Bourgogne-294 appear to represent the same person because: of Burgundy and Bourgogne are the same person. Bourgogne is the appropriate Last Name at Birth, because Wikitree naming standards are to use the language of the country of origin in this case French. Her husband's name is Bourbon. Please merge

Bourgogne-294 and Of Burgundy-121 are not ready to be merged because: More research needed relating to name and references and sources. Very similar but after referencing my original notes

for 121, I will be making edits and then will compare and consider confirming the merge.
