Biography

He was the father of Bjørn, who was mentioned in a letter from Håkon Magnusson regarding the rights to lake Tofte in 1292 or 1293.[1][2]

Research Notes

  • He is unlikely to be the brother of baron Guttorm Gydason.
  • There is no source linking him to the name Bratt.
  • There is no source for his birth being in 1245 (especially not if his son is supposedly born in 1255 - one of these dates must be incorrect)
