Burwell is NOT a son of George and Alice. Now indisputably proved by DNA. Absolutely ZERO evidence of Alice's maiden surname. It was almost certainly NOT "Burwell". Let's please put that ancient rumor to sleep permanently.

Are there any records or data proving Alice's maiden name. Is it possible that somewhere along the line Burwell was added to give credence to supposed son Burwell Brewer? Just asking because husband George Srs position on the YFull Tree is I-Y15031 Son Burwell appears to be R-M269
