Biography

Sarah Butler, dau. of William Butler & Hannah Hills, b. Jan 11, 1697/8 at Wethersfield, Conn. (bapt. June 4, 1704). She was living on Oct. 12, 1764 when named as one of the executors of her husband's will. Although there is no specific record of where and when she died, the writer assumes she was interred at the same cemetery as her husband, her daughter Temperance and the latter's husband Oliver Goodrich.

Sarah m. Mar. 1, 1721/2 at Wethersfield, Conn., Dea. Ebenezer Wright, s. of Sgt. Samuel Wright & Rebecca Craft, b. Nov. 2, 1696 at Wethersfield. He d. testate Sept. 2, 1766 at Wethersfield likely at Rocky Hill, formerly the southern part of Wethersfield, now Rocky Hill, Conn. They had four known children who are outlined in their father's memorial.
