Biography
Asa was born on 9 OCT 1781 in Chatham County, North Carolina
Asa married Rebecca Elizabeth Murphree on 16 September 1802 in Pendleton Dist., SC. Their children were:
- James M Bynum (1801–1887) .
- Isaac Bynum (~1805–1891) .
- Solomon Bynum (1806–1884) .
- William Buck Bynum (1809–1850) .
- Daniel Bynum (1810–1903) .
- Edith Bynum (~1811–<1852) .
- James Elijah Bynum (1812–1865) .
- Sarah Bynum (1815–<1841) .
- Jesse Bynum (1817–1897) .
- Asa Bynum (1822–1893) .
- Rebecca Bynum (1824–1905) .[1]
In 1819, moved to Alabama.
Primitive Baptist preacher. In 1822, was in congregation when Mt. Mariah Baptist Church was organized.
Asa died on 6 May 1833 in Blount County, Alabama, United States, aged 51.
