Muriel Calder was born in 1498. She was the daughter of John Calder (Cawdor) and Isabella Rose, daughter of the 8th Laird of Kilravock.
Muriel Calder (Cawdor) of that Ilk married Sir John Campbell in 1510.
After her husbands death Donald Campbell , Abbot of Coupar and John Scrymgeour Commentador of Ardhattan joined Dame Muriel Caudell of that Ilk and Elizabeth Campbell her daughter along with John Scrymgeour of Duohope, Constable of Dundee and John Scrymgeour his son on the one part and formed a contract on 24 Jan 1556/57 with on the the part Sir George Meldrum of Fyvie and Alexander Meldrum of Durlathers his son for the marriage of Elizabeth to Alexander. Lady Calder passed away about 1575.
