- Jean Campbell was the daughter of Sir George Campbell, the Knight of Loudoun and Sheriff of Ayr.[1]
Research Notes
- Jean's father was formerly given (on Wikitree) as Sir George Campbell. The relevant dates however make this impossible. His father, Sir George Campbell, who was also Sheriff of Ayr, fits the description and corresponds much better with the dates.
