Amos B. Carpenter appears to have misassigned Lydia as the daughter of Jotham Carpenter. She was not named in his will of 1777, but was named "Lydia Blake" in the will of his widow Freelove in 1807. Amos B. Carpenter says Lydia married Mr. Blake, so this is clearly the same Lydia.
Lydia was recorded to Freelove and her first husband Oliver at Swansea on 13 January 1733, so she was not the daughter of Jotham and Freelove.
