Death

He died intestate. Elizabeth Carter was appointed administratrix, 17 June 1789, the inventory having been taken, 20 May 1789. Bartholomew, Elizabeth, and Daniel Carter, Jr., of Gloucester Co, children of Daniel Carter, deceased, on 20 Mar 1797, chose Benjamin Prosser as guardian, being out of wardship of their guardian in socage. Mary, John and Jeremiah Carter, of Gloucester Co, children of Daniel Carter, being under 14 years, Nathan Carter was made guardian.
