David passed away at age 74 on 19 February 1784, in Ashford, Connecticut.[3] He is buried in Westford Hill Cemetery in Ashford, Windham County, Connecticut.[4]
David's probate case 848 was dated 25 February 1784.[5] David wrote his will 19 May 1783. In it he mentions:
