Private Luther Chittenden served with 7th Connecticut Regiment (1777), Continental Army during the American Revolution.

"'Luther Chittenden died with ye small pox, at Allingtown, Pa, Oct. 31, 1777, in his 18th year." - Fam. Rec." (This is the notation printed in Talcott's Chittenden Family. It appears to be a notation copied from family notes.)

He is the son of William Chittenden and Elizabeth Fosdick. ^[1]

Birth date is speculative.
