Mary was first married to John Balch, Jr. son of John Balch, the immigrant (who was born about 1579, in England) and his wife Margery. [2]
Mary Conant was the widow of John Balch who had drowned in 1662 in a violent storm at Beverly Ferry. Mary Dodge was one of the original members of Beverly Church 1667
After her first husband's death, Mary married Captain William Dodge, son of William Dodge, the immigrant from England, who came to Salem in 1629. [3]
From her father will of 1677, we learn that he gives his daughter Mary Dodge, wife of Captain William £5, and £5 more for her five children. His inventory was £258 10s. [4]
