Elizabeth Courtenay was born circa 1428 at Powderham Castle, Exeter, Devonshire, England.[3]
She and Sir James Luttrell obtained a marriage license on 13 January 1450/1.[4][5] (Douglas Richardson gives the year as just 1450.[6][7]) They married in the chapel at Powderham Castle, Devon.[8] They had 2 sons (Alexander; & Sir Hugh) and 1 daughter (Jane, wife of George Stewkley).[6][7]
Elizabeth Courtenay and Sir Humphrey Touchet, Constable of Southampton Castle obtained a marriage license on 21 March 1464; Date of Dispensation for being related in the 2nd degree of affinity. They had 1 son (Sir John) and 3 daughters (Jane; Elizabeth, wife of John Sydenham, Esq; & Philippe, wife of Richard Hadley).[9][10]
Elizabeth Courtenay married Thomas Malet, Esq., son of Hugh Malet, Esq. and Joan Roynon, in 1478; No issue. His 2nd wife, her 3rd husband.6,8,9,10,12
Elizabeth Courtenay died on 1 September 1493. She was buried in the chancel of the church of Dunster, Somerset.[6][7][11]
