Biography

Simeon led a group of 53 other men, who were loyal to the King, to join Burgoyne in his ill-fated march on Albany, N.Y. in 1777. Simeon was made a Captain and led the 6th company in Col Peter’s Corp of the Queens Loyal Rangers for 72 days before the defeat of Burgoyne at Bennington. Simeon and three others decided to flee to Canada rather than be captured by the rebels after the surrender. His property in White Creek, N.Y. was subsequently confiscated and sold.
