Biography
Mary married James R. Hathorn in about 1776 in Charleston Or Boonsbourgh, South Carolina. The couple had 8 children: David Hazlep Hathorn, Robert Nicholson Hathorn, James R. Hathorn, John Thomas Hathorn, Anna (Anne) Hathorn, Joseph Johnson Hawthorn, Sarah Hathorn and Esther Hathorn.

- Name (Facts Page): Believed To Have Been Mary Ann Cowan As She Was Heir And Executed James Will, Which Was Witnessed By Edward And Robert
- There was a Cowan family living in Charles Town at the same time that the Hathorn family. I have not found Mary Ann's family lineage and do not know if she and James met and were married in the Charles Town or if they were married in the Boonesborough Township.
