1758/6/12, Cox, Stephen of Southam Parish. will. Brother William, sister Elizabeth Clement; estate to remain in hand of exec till brother Josiah arrives at age 21, then divided to my mother, Judith Cox & my brother Josiah Cox & my 4 youngest sisters, to wit: Sarah, Mary, Tabitha, & Martha Cox. Exors: mother Judith & brother Josiah. wit: Thomas Moody, Henry Farley, John Hubbard, p 165. Cumberland Co, Va wills 1749-1782, pg 15.

Birth Note

Her father died before 28 Aug 1749 when his will was proved in Cumberland County, VA.^[1] Her birthday should be before that date and the place should be Cumberland County.

Note: Cumberland Co, Va wills 1749-1782, p 1 states that wills prior to 1750 are in "tatters" and are only tiny bits of paper. Stephen and Judith's daughter Judith married Bowker Smith, and if alive her father would be named:
