Rev. John Matthew Creel was born on 28 Feb 1732 in Farnham, Richmond, Virginia to William Creel and Alice Dodson. He married Rhoda Rosanna Dodson in 1760 in Prince William, Virginia. John was a soldier in the Revolutionary War. He died in 1787 in Pittsylvania, Virginia.
