When Olive Curtis was born sometime in July, 1728, in Wallingford, Connecticut, her father, Samuel, was 50, and her mother, Elizabeth, was 41. [1][2] She married John Blakeslee on March 4, 1745, in Waterbury, Connecticut. [3][4] They had 11 children in 23 years. [5] Olive died at ninety years of age in about 1818. [6]
Note: According to A genealogy of the Curtiss family being a record of the descendants of widow Elizabeth Curtiss page 15, Olive's sister Alice Curtis was born on June 3, 1728. The History of Cheshire, Connecticut, from 1694-1840, page 293 write that Olive was born in July of 1728.
