Sarah Dalton was George's only daughter and was born about 1595. Sarah became the wife of Richard Everard and the marriage took place in Holbrook, Suffolk, 24 Sep 1623. This couple had at least five children according to the baptismal records at Woolverstone: Israell 1624; Timothie 1626; Marie 1627; Debora 1628; and John 1629. Thus it was Sarah Dalton's daughter, Debora Dalton Everard who logically would be the wife of Jasper Blake. No record of a marriage has been located so whether it took place in England or in Hampton, NH is still unknown.
'Following their 1623 marriage in Woolverstone, Richard and Sarah (Dalton) Everard had children baptized there:Israel in 1624; Timothy in 1626; Deborah in 1628; and John in 1629. Of these children, young John was buried in Woolverstone 18 July 1629, less than two months old. Although there is no burial record for her, we believe that Sarah (Dalton) Everard may have died soon after John's birth. Richard is certainly not seen in Woolverstone after the burial of his youngest son, and we know from later records in New England that he had soon married another wife, Mary Unk. Richard and Mary emigrated about 1636, bringing eldest son Israel,1591 daughter Deborah, and perhaps a new son John.'

BIBLIOGRAPHIC NOTE: In 2000 George Freeman Sanborn Jr. and Melinde Lutz Sanborn published additional information about he English background of the Daltons and their relationship to other families with representatives in New England, and demonstrated that Deborah, wife of Jasper Blake of Hampton, long known to have been a relative of the Dalton brothers was their niece [NEHGR 154:259-289].
