Daniel Dane was born on 24 April 1698 in Andover, Essex, Massachusetts Bay Colony, son of Francis Dane (1656–1738) and Hannah Poor (1660–1745).[1]

This Daniel is easily confused with Daniel Dane, son of Nathaniel and Deliverance Dane born in 1684. Elizabeth Grainger was originally and incorrectly linked as wife of this Daniel and has now been moved to Dane-21.
