Biography

Abigail Dane was born at Ipswich, Massachusetts on December 15, 1673, daughter of John Dane and Abigail Warner. [1] [2]

She married March 27, 1705, Joseph Crackbone, as his second wife. [1] [2] Joseph Crackbone, son of Benjamin (2) and Elizabeth Crackbone was born at Cambridge, Massachusetts on March 8, 1663. [3] [4]

Joseph was a shoemaker and owned an estate at the westerly corner of Brattle and Ash streets. [4]

He died about August, 1728. [4]

Joseph's will was written on April 6, 1724 at Cambridge. In it, he made his wife Abigail executrix and indicated that she could, in her own will, dispose of his estate to the children. [5]

On August 23, 1728, widow Abigail submitted the will to the Middlesex court where it was proved. [5]
