Ancestry.com: William's date of birth is an estimate based on the 1810 census. His parents had a son whose age was between 16 and 18. He appears as William Daniel, Jr. in the 1820 Boone Co KY census, age 16 to 26 and is married with no children. By 1830, he and his wife had two sons and a daughter. In 1840, there was one male age 20 to 30 living in the household and no other children were present. There is no William Daniel in the 1850 Boone Co census, but there is a Sally Daniels, age 55, who is the head of a household that includes three children - none have the surname Daniel(s) - and she is living next door to the family of John Kile, who is age 51. It is possible that she was William's widow. He was not found in the Indiana census records.
