The 1552 Visitation of Essex[3] and 1561 Suffolk Visitation[1] give her mother's name as FitzLangley. Douglas Richardson gives it as Fillongley or Filongley[2] as do the History of Parliament Online entries for her father[8] and her maternal grandfather Henry Filongley.[9] Fitzlangley appears to be a corruption of Fillongley, which is the name of a village in Warwickshire.
