[Note: no primary sources to determine that Mrs. Hannah Brown, who married Samuel Brooks was in fact Hannah Davis. Her death date and age match Hannah Davis' birth year CH ]

Biography

Capt. Samuel Brooks married Mrs. Hannah (Davis) Brown and had one child, Deacon Samuel Brooks, who removed to Haverhill, NH where he married Anna (Bedel) Butler daughter of General Timothy Bedel of Revolutionary fame, and widow of Dr. Thaddeus Butler. (p. 611) [1]

Captain Samuel Brooks, son of Deacon John Brooks, was born March 16, 1729 at Concord. He married Mrs. Hannah ( Davis) Brown of Carlisle, born June 9, 1724, daughter of Simon and Hannah (Brown) Davis of Concord, on March 14, 1755 at Carlisle.[2]

Capt. Brooks died in Worcester June 29, 1817, aged eighty seven years. His widow Hannah died at Worcester December 6, 1819, age ninety five. (p. 578) [3]
