Uncertain family

David Christoffelssen (born 1652), his wife and 4 children died in the Schenectady massacre. It is not known if any children survived to adulthood, but the working theory here (open to discussion) is that Thomas was one of the children who escaped.

"In the massacre of Feb. 9, 1690, [David Christoffelssen] was slain with his wife and four children. His heirs still owned [the property] in 1699". Source of quoted material: A History of Schenectady Patent in the Dutch & English Times (by Prof. Jonathan Pearson & others, 1883). The same Pearson document refers to the property still belonging to "the heirs of David Christophelse" in June 1714.^[1]
