There is another paper purporting to be the will of Sarah, widow of Philemon Blake without date, and a subsequent agreement between the children, made December 29, 1755 which is subtantially as follows:
To Joshua Blake, she bequeaths her great Bible and great chair. To Philemon Blake her crosscut saw. To Elisha Blake a pair of handirons that were commonly used in the room where she lived. To her granddaughter Sarah Blake (now Sarah Stevens, wife of Nathaniel Stevens), her brass kettle, her little iron pot, one cow, a feather bed and bedding; and to her three daughters, Elizabeth Lane, (wife of Samuel Lane), all her movable except what is before disposed of, and appointed her two sons the said Philemon and Joshua, Executors, and ordered her stock of creaturs to pay her debts and funeral expenses
Now it is agreed between said Joshua, Philemon, Elisha, Sarah Stevens and Nathaniel Stevens, Elizabeth and Samuel Lane, Devorah and Benjamin Veasey, and Sarah and Jeremiah Bean, That sd Joshua shall take his own use and profit the said stock of creatures and shall out of the discharge all the debts of sd deceased & funeral charges x x x, and further agree to take and receive of sd Joshua the said legacies x x x and hereby acknowledge to have rec'd the sd legacies of the said Joshua before the ensealing of these presents x x x
