DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Francois Clement by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Francois Clement:
Father of my GGGgf (Maximilien DeCuir b1780) who resided c1795 to 1808 on the SW side of Bayou Tortue just above Lake (Flamand) Tasse (Spanish Lake). He had 25 arpents. Today's intersection of Our Lady of the Lake Rd. and Highway 182 is located on that property (the 2010 Victor Gondran Estate recently sold was a central part of it). Godefroy had 5 arpents above the original 25.
DeCuir-1376 and Decuir-15 appear to represent the same person because: Same location of birth, same dates and locations of marriage and death. Same spouse and daughter Marie Clémence. Merging into Decuir-15, name used by Louisiana Family Project.
Cuir-2 and Decuir-15 appear to represent the same person because: Merge into Decuir-15, lowest number with closest last name. same birth dates, spouse on Cuir-2 is correct. Thanks
