This Elihu Denison, born 14 Apr 1777 at Stephentown, NY, was the 12th child (son) of Daniel & Katherine (Avery) Denison of Stephentown, New York.
He married Thankful Stewart about 1798. They had about 9 children.

Elihu Denison died 20 Feb 1820 in Plymouth Township, Richland County, Ohio. (From the From The Ohio Repository, Canton, Ohio, March 15, 1820, page 3, column 3: "A man by the name of Elihu Denison, of Plymouth township, Richland County, was killed a short time since. He and his wife had been on a visit to a friend; on their return home in a sled, the oxen took fright - Mr. Denison got off, for the purpose of driving them forward, when they suddenly started and dragged the sled over his body - His wife unfortunately got her arm broke at the same time")
