Biography

Wulfrith of /Devon

some sources report her as daughter of Alpsius De Devon, although all information about her is vague and uncertain. Stubbs-204 17:34, 17 December 2011 (EST)

Research Notes

Wulfrith has previously been shown on WikiTree as daughter of Gunnora who died about 1031 and her supposed husband Herbastus de Crepon. They obviously cannot be the parents of a Wulfrith born in about 920.

Marlyn Lewis has a Wulfrith marrying Ordgar, with no information about her origins, and makes her the mother of one of Ordgar's children, with no sourcing.[1] The name of Ordgar's wife is unknown.[2]

A Wulfrith born in about 920 self-evidently cannot be the child of Gunnora d. about 1031, https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Unknown-532784, and her alleged and doubtful husband Herbastus Crepon, https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Forester_de_Crepon-1. I am therefore detaching them.

Because of the extent of ill-sourced, fanciful and clearly wrong information in trees on the web, and a past history of wrong relationships on WikiTree, I have made the Medieval Project a manager and added Project Protection.
