DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with James by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with James:

Hi Donna,

This profile came up on the Data Doctors' webpage as needing a hand. Could you please add a good source or two and maybe tell possible descendants a bit about this person?

As always, if you need a hand, please let one of us know.

Hi Marie, you have listed first hand knowledge of James Smith Dobbs (Dobbs -183). I am a descendent of his and am trying to locate information on his father William Richard Dobbs (Dobbs-195) his parents or siblings.

Thanks for any help you can give me. Donna Frederick (Gilchrist-725)
